When we aren’t traveling or leaving the house for work and switching to celebrating major milestones from home, clothes start to serve a different purpose. That’s why I'm deeming 2021 the Year of Functionality. With more time spent outdoors and lounging, the performance of clothing and accessories has a new level of importance. Without further ado, the 2021 fashion trends!

2021 Fashion Trends

Headbands

2021 will mark the return of the headband. Not the flimsy fabric headband you use to hold your hair back when you wash your face, but a big, Blair Waldorf-style headband. Fancy Face Masks

As things start opening up with limited capacity but still requiring mask-wearing, I foresee a rise in upscale masks with rich textures, big bows, and bold colors. Statement Collars

Last but not least, my favorite trend: a statement collar! Find a big collar and layer it with just about any sweater for a modern office look. Yet another great way to accessorize an outfit for a virtual meeting.
